Who Am I
Having navigated the challenges of compound trauma in my own life, I am now dedicated to guiding others as a certified Professional Life Coach. My journey as a life coach is deeply rooted in personal transformation and profound experiences that have shaped my approach to guiding others. Life's challenges have equipped me with the empathy and authenticity needed to support you on your own path to fulfillment. From a young age, I encountered emotional turbulence, including the impact of my parents' divorce and my father's narcissistic traits. My mother, a beacon of love and compassion, was a constant source of support. Her illness, which began during my junior year of high school and led to her passing just after my 21st birthday, profoundly influenced my life. Alongside the trials of combat deployment overseas in Kuwait and Iraq, these experiences have driven my personal growth and transformation. To build a life of purpose and pride, I embraced significant changes: disconnecting from television, social media, and music, and immersing myself in podcasts and books. The teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza and Tara Brach have been instrumental in my journey. My coaching practice is grounded in the same techniques and insights that have been transformative for me. I am dedicated to helping you overcome limiting beliefs, manage anxiety, and heal from trauma. Through mindfulness, meditation, and a deep understanding of personal growth, I strive to help you align your mind, body, and soul, navigate your core values, and create a fulfilling life of purpose. Beyond coaching, I am passionate about supporting important causes. I serve on the board of The Mental Health Moment Non-Profit, focusing on mental health advocacy and support. I am also involved with STOP FoodBorne Illness Non-Profit, dedicated to preventing and supporting those affected by foodborne illnesses—a cause close to my heart due to my mother's illness from E. coli in cookie dough. Feel free to explore more about my mother's journey through the articles and videos below. My mission is to empower you to connect deeply with yourself and live a life of resilience, fulfillment, and purpose.) I want to help people upgrade their mindset and learn how to manifest their desired reality. I have been completely broke in all walks of my life. In one year I went from working construction making 18 dollars an hour to a full time life coach, on the board of a mental health non-profit, and truly living my dream life. I currently serve as a Mental Health Coach at Lyra Health and am a Board Member for The Mental Health Moment Non-Profit.
Linda Rivera's Story
When I was just 16, my mother, Linda Rivera, became severely ill after contracting E. coli from eating cookie dough. Her journey was filled with unimaginable pain and struggle, lasting over four years and impacting our family deeply. She was in the hospital for almost two years straight, enduring an emotional and physical roller coaster. We’d get hopeful news one day, only to face heart-wrenching declines the next. Despite her strength, she faced the worst pain I’ve ever seen, battling countless health complications. Her time in the hospital was filled with challenges: she developed bed sores, endured multiple major surgeries, and was kept on life support. She spent months in an induced coma, had a colostomy bag, a tracheostomy, and lost the ability to walk or care for herself. At one point, her kidneys failed so severely that doctors had to drain over six liters of fluid from her body. Each day was a painful uncertainty. After two years, through intense rehabilitation, she was finally able to leave the hospital, though she continued to struggle daily. For the next two years, she faced ongoing complications, including frequent hospitalizations due to intestinal blockages, enduring relentless, severe pain. Ultimately, her body could no longer endure the battle. In July 2013, my mom passed away after a stroke and multi-organ failure.
